Whereever I go on the farm, Nell thinks she must go too. She isn't a youngster now, so I always try to give her a ride if I am going far. She's my hiking buddy and seems to know when the time of day comes for our walk. She will give chase if she sees a rabbit, a squirrel or a deer, but she's back at my side in a moment. I talk to her. She listens. I tell her things I wouldn't tell another person.
Nell is my most unselfish friend, and when others seem to have deserted me, she is at my side. She will kiss my hand and lick my tears away. She carries no grudges. She does not find fault. She loves me when I succeed or when I fail. She truly is a
